We are currently looking for a Quality Systems Specialist located in Fort Worth, Texas. The Quality Systems Specialist would be responsible for processing and maintaining quality records and certifications, and initiate communications with suppliers and customers regarding non-conformances found and corrective actions identified. This role also performs or coordinates visual, mechanical, and non-destructive test and inspection of assembled, fabricated, and purchased parts.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Maintains product certification data in quality systems databases.
• Administers the document control process for the Quality Management System. This includes new document creation, revision or editing of existing documentation, and distribution through the document management portal.
• Performs quality records verifications.
• Provide administrative support for the quality department, including purchase order processing, and other clerical duties as requested.
• Recommends changes in manufacturing and quality procedures.
• Assists in the determination of the most efficient way to improve the Quality Management System processes and procedures.
• Coordinates inspection of units, piece parts, and assemblies to find defects.
• Collects and prepares quality reports for use of statistical process control.
• Interacts with Engineering Department for interpretation of prints and tolerances.
• Checks production methods against procedures and planned methods.
• Interacts with Production Supervisor and employees to show and explain quality needs.
• Recommends changes to prints and/or bills of material.
  

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma and three to five years of quality job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Proficient knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and print reading with good analytical skills.
• Knowledge in Quality Management Systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Personal computer skills and familiarity with various software packages such as Microsoft Office.
• Internal CPS Quality Specialist qualification and American Society for Quality certification.
