Open Position: 1st shift

Shipping Supervisor

Hours: 7:00am -3:30pm

Payrate - $20-$25 (depending on experience)

Must be able to work OT

Bilingual a plus

Forklift experience

1. Qualification Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years experience in a shipping and receiving position for a manufacturer, preferably a plastics manufacturer. Familiarity with weigh counting. Able to take inventories. Experience with operating material handling equipment such as fork lifts and pallet movers. Must possess ability to work as a team and get along well with others. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.

2. Reports to: Plant Manager

3. Authority: Can accept or refuse incoming shipments from vendors.

4. Special Circumstances of the Job: Dependability is critical. Must be willing to work overtime. Work with people who cannot read, write, or speak English well. Performs functions of the packagers when necessary. Able to carry 50 lbs. of weight.

5. Job Duties, Functions, Responsibilities: Counts/weigh-counts product, packs product, closes containers, meets other shipping specifications such as skidding, skid wrapping, customer specified labeling. Completes of shipping documentation. Completes of all required shipping reports. Schedules packagers. Prioritizes daily shipments from daily shipping schedule. Enter all packaging information into the computer. Maintain finished goods inventory Maintains the Lot Number Log. Follows and directs the implementation of all relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions. Stores finished goods.

6. Other Duties: Take weekly inventories. Keep the shipping area as well as the shipping docks clean and orderly. Meet with the Plant Manager each work day to go over scheduling changes.

7. Quality Responsibilities: Must be involved in quality activities. Completes all quality training offered by the company. Submits quality improvement ideas. Must be aware of and follow all safety procedures.

8. Results Expected: All available and due product shipped on time in correct quantities every day..
