All Species Animal Hospital animal, avian and exotic practice open for 24/7/365 Currently accepting applications for a full-time vet assistant/receptionist, and kennel attendant.

All Species Animal Hospital are seeking Veterinary assistants to practice advanced medicine to treat All species which include, cats,dogs,Avian, exotics and primates.

The right candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic individual.Must be able to multi-task, have strong work ethic and proven ability to be a team player.

As a member of our team you will help create and maintain a positive work environment. Applicants must also be able to handle any situations in a calmly and professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:(involve but are not limited to the following)

• Routine procedures: perform venipuncture, IV catheter, suture removal,injection administration
• Technical duties: set up, position and take radiographs, in house laboratory and cytology tests.
• Record keeping and communication: prepare estimates, update patient files with notes on in person or phone conversation, educate client on treatment plant and patient care. Answer calls in a timely manner.
• Patient care and treatment: Perform dental treatment, conduct physical patient examination and monitor vitals,assist and monitor surgeries and anesthesia, prepare and administer medication and vaccines.
• will be asked to assist in other areas as needed.

SKILLS:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Show aptitude, comprehension and understanding of medical procedures and animal care/handling.
• Must have computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
• must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic and listening skills which would translate to effective and productive work.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.
• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgement and be able to manage stressful situations.

The position requires flexibility between working full days and nights including weekends and holidays.

Experience is preferred but not required. We provide training for this position.Please submit resume and cover letter.

• Customer Service/ Interpersonal Skills: 1-2 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary Reception or Other Client/Customer Interaction: 1 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary Assistant Experience: 1-2 year (Preferred)
• Kennel Assistant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Will train the right individual
