Compensation:
Salary: $38,200 - $42,200

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, daytime work schedule with potential for occasional telework option after training is completed.

Position Summary:
This position processes incoming mail and electronic correspondence to begin new workflows ensuring daily turnaround times are met. You will rotate duties to include processing mail, scanning documents, analyzing information to determine correct department and process, name image and import documents. Other duties include research, improving image quality, using microfilm and project work.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Receive and sort paper and electronic mail of STRS Ohio members.
  • Process mail and electronic images to determine the correct department, workflow and imaging process.
  • Use critical thinking to prepare, scan, quality check documents and Index documents for the online imaging system.Operate high-speed scanners to ensure document are scanned correctly and perform regular scanner maintenance.
  • Use image tools to evaluate and improve electronic records according to standards.
  • Perform research to support records management tasks such as determining record location and status, member status or research appropriate to assigned projects.

Required Skills

Summary of Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Capability to analyze information received and apply business rules to process requests such as, but not limited to, document batching and naming images.
  • Above-average organizational skills and a high degree of sustained accuracy and attention to detail required to complete day-to-day and ad-hoc assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word; ability to operate standard office equipment including high-speed scanners.
  • Trustworthiness with confidential information.
  • Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
