Job description

  • Attain and maintain all SOP execution and certifications.
  • Understand and adhere to all regulatory requirements for PSM and RMP.
  • Preform high level maintenance, repairs, servicing and electrical troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration equipment.
  • Able to read and comprehend P&ID’s and schematics and apply to equipment and process.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and make repairs as needed to refrigeration equipment.
  • Successfully complete all required position relevant safety and compliance training.
  • Be able to set-up, operate, adjust, and maintain refrigeration equipment.
  • Be familiar and practice Lock out/Tag out safety procedures on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
  • Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
    • Natural occurring defects i.e. bruises and blood spots.
    • Processing defects would be but not limited to foreign material and out spec product.
    • Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
      • Abnormal situation would be:
        • Product tampering
        • Willful product adulteration
        • Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
        • Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring
        • Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake

Physical Demands:

  • Standing/walking 100% of the workday.
  • Must be able to work in different temperatures as hot as 105 degrees and as cold as -20 degrees.
