Responsibilities
To provide a patient focused admission process for surgical and procedural populations into Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato. The Pre-Operative Facilitator provides a patient focused admission process for surgical and procedural populations into Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Holders of F1 status eligible for post-completion OPT are welcome to apply. This role is NOT eligible to participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of three years medical/surgical experience required. Education: Graduate of a nursing program with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
Special Skills: Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving, decision making and organization skills required. Must be familiar with the application of adult learning principles. Effective telephone communication and computer skills are required. Licensure & Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and Registered Nursing (RN) License in the state of Minnesota required. Med/Surg certification preferred.
