The Chemotherapy Registered Nurse must have the ability to provide patient and family education across the illness and treatment continuum, helping patients to adjust to the realities of the illness, cope more effectively and reduce anxiety. The registered nurse’s skills in thorough assessment and intervention significantly impact patient outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Care coordination, navigating patient care from diagnosis to delivering care and referrals.
• Evaluate and assess each patient on a case-by-case basis and establish a plan of care based on the individual needs of each case.
• Obtains and reviews laboratory results to determine if they are within an acceptable range as set by practice.
• Develop or revise plan of care based on assessment data and consult with other members of the healthcare team.
• Make appropriate referrals or consultations in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Demonstrates an ongoing, careful assessment of patient.
• Verifies that chemotherapy plans and orders are clearly and concisely written and verified before administration.

Qualifications:

• State of California Registered Nurse License required.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required.
• COVID Vaccination requirement.

Job Information:

• Full-time and per diem positions available, varied shifts.
• Starting wage $53.52 to $59.19 based on qualifications.
