Registered Nurse, Preoperative & Recovery (PACU)

Princess Anne Ambulatory Surgery Center (PAASC) is currently searching for a Registered Nurse with recent Preoperative/PACU/ER/ICU experience looking to utilize their skills in our multispecialty ambulatory surgery center.

No weekends or holidays required. Position is FULL TIME, Monday through Friday, variable day shifts (8,9,10 hour shifts). NO CALL Requirement. Additional compensation to RN's certified with CAPA or CPAN.

Nurses in this position are scheduled to work shifts in the preoperative and post operative departments. When staffed in the preoperative department, the nurse performs preoperative patient assessments and prepares the patient for surgery. When staffed in the post operative department, the nurse performs post operative assessments and care to meet standard criteria with the goal of safely discharging the patient home. All shifts are variable morning start times with earliest shift starting at 6:00 AM. Shift end time varies until last patient is discharged but on average is 5:30/6:00PM but can be as late as 7:00PM.

Experience in outpatient setting or hospital preferred, valid active Virginia license, BLS and ACLS certification required at hire, PALS certification required at or within 90 days of hire.
