Position Overview

The position will conduct regulatory review of all media materials for purposes of outreach and education regarding a variety of activities, including but not limited to benefit changes/expansion, renewal/retention efforts, marketing materials for enrollment, preventive health information, etc. The position will also serve as a government liaison with state agencies for the review and approval of state regulatory materials.

Job Description

  • Review all education and outreach materials for current and/or prospective members about plan activities, including materials for marketing, health fairs, community events, etc. against regulatory requirements for all lines of business (e.g. Medicaid, Managed Long-Term Care, HARP, HIV Special Needs Plan, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, and Commercial Plans).
  • Review all materials created for the purposes of communicating important information for providers.
  • Submit to state agencies (BIGA, MLTC, NYSOH, DFS, etc.) any materials that require state review and approval.
  • Assign final codes to all materials submitted, submit and log approvals, and monitor the materials database for ongoing compliance with all material distributions.
  • Monitor and maintain Communications SharePoint site, used to track all incoming materials for review and coding approved by the NYS Department of Health (DOH).
  • Escalate material review to Director of Regulatory Affairs for second level review, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Managed Care experience, with a focus on Medicaid and Government Programs required.
  • Prior successful experience working with regulators in communications review preferred.
  • Experience managing complicated projects, keeping track of details, and staging work to deliver projects on time.
  • Proven ability to interpret and articulate regulatory requirements, convey complex information, and prepare presentations to capture information for a diverse audience, including business and technical staff.
  • Proven ability to research and edit policy and procedure documents as well as reports for a diverse audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project requests and track review and approval status.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
