  • Work from nationwide (Not Including New York, California, Hawaii, Washington, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Vermont, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Maine, and Wyoming)
  • Pay is $17.29/hr
  • For current openings you must be Bilingual in both Spanish and English
  • Must have at least 1 year experience in a high call volume environment and understanding of basic medical terminology (real world experience or education utilizing medical terms is required)
  • Reliable internet connection (Must meet minimum 20 Upload and Download speed and must be a hard wired connection)
  • Hiring for both Part-time and Full-time
  • Internet Speed Test and 3 Assessments required in order to be considered for this position

Schedules / Hours of operation:

Part Time Schedule:

  • Tues-Fri 5pm-9pm CST and Sat 8am-12pm CST

Full Time Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri 12pm-9pm CST

Overview:

Insurance Verification specialists will be responsible for verifying life and health insurance applications directly with potential customers. It is a vital part of our Company’s New Business and Underwriting process. The information you verify and gather directly relates to determining whether the Company will decline or issue a policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maneuver within the Quality Assurance database and conduct appropriate assessments on what additional information or verification is needed
  • Ability to handle inbound/outbound calls to potential customers including bilingual calls– verify and document required information to finalize applications for underwriting assessment.
  • Accurately document the information
  • Properly document non-contact attempts within the Quality Assurance Database
  • Be able to properly explain the application process to potential customers
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete additional paperwork when needed
  • Maintain appropriate levels of communication with supervision regarding actions taken within the Quality Assurance database
  • Transfer calls to appropriate department as needed
  • Successfully meet the minimum expectation for the departmental key performance indicator (K.P.I’s)
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
  • Ability to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time based on the specific position for which you're applying

Other Requirements:

  • 1+ years of work experience in a high volume contact center environment, receptionist role, -OR- a role in which they commonly took calls on a daily basis (Strict Requirement)
  • Basic knowledge of Medical terminology required (strict requirement)
  • Bilingual in both Spanish and English
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Remote Experience Preferred but not required
  • Reliable internet connection (Must meet minimum 20 UPLOAD speed and must be a hard wired connection)
  • For safety reasons - It is required that you have or are willing to obtain a fire extinguisher to keep in your home
  • Quiet & Professional Workplace
  • Basic Computer Knowledge/Skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Minimum typing requirement of 35 wpm
  • Superior customer service skills required – friendly, efficient, good listener
  • Proficient use of the computer, keyboard functions and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
