The
Research Aide will ensure study subjects are scheduled in a timely manner, according to research protocols, and will enter data on subjects to help track retention and attrition. This position will ensure that all parent packets are current with Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals and are sent to families in a timely manner. This staff member will ensure that assessment materials are purchased and processed in a timely manner and assist with conference and special event preparations and other research tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that research evaluations are scheduled according to the various study protocols and to be audio and video taped.
- Ensure that parent packets are prepared and sent to families prior to scheduled assessments.
- Maintain tracking system to ensure that all current participants, ineligible subjects, and families dropped from the study are accurately accounted for.
- Process all purchase requests and reimbursement for research staff.
- Set-up and breakdown testing rooms along with videotaping evaluations according to various research protocols.
- Obtain and track medical records for subjects participant in research.
- Assist with overall organization of lab materials and equipment.
- Assist with care of siblings of the child being tested if parents are in with the examiner.
- Assist with organization and planning of the annual conference and/or other fund raising events, including scheduling speakers, securing location, brochure development, registrations, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), etc.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, education, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience with young children with autism preferred.
