LOCATION: Harlingen, Texas

PAY RATE: PRODUCTION PAY

REPORTS TO: INSTALLATION SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Residential & Commercial Installation Technicians at Broadband Telecom Services (BTS) install cable and fiber for commercial and residential settings. Residential & Commercial Installation Technicians have to work independently and have good communication skills for customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Candidates must have a valid Driver’s License, be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• This is a physical job that requires the strength (lift up to 60 lbs.) and ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 32 feet in the air. You must be able to use hand tools such as, cordless drills, wire cutters, etc.
• Technical skills can be taught and proper technique of cable installation will be explained. Tech will use handheld testing devices to check signal strength, setting up customer devices.
• Cable Techs must work in many different settings and be able to problem solve each setting with professionalism and good customer service.
  
• Must be able to kneel, crawl, push, pull, bend, stop, lift, and dig
• This position is exposed to outside elements (rain, snow, sleet, and heat)
• Travel may be required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience preferred, but on the job training is available.
