Successful candidates must:

  • Pass a drug screen and background check
  • Getting along and performing effectively as part of a team, while at the same time accomplishing many personal supports independently with the person for whom you’re providing that support.
  • Upon hire, complete and maintain certification in all required training, including CPR/FA and Crisis de-escalation training, as provided by Star Choices Inc.
  • Daily document electronically work support given and work completed.

Providing mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, gowns, and other PPE. Have specialized protocols for high risk and Covid positive patients receiving support as/if they occur.


All jobs are contingent on passage of hiring processes:

  • References check

  • TB test(Employers expense)
  • drug screen(Employers expense)
  • physical(Employers expense)
  • First aid CPR class (Employers expense)

All have to be complete before starting. Usually takes 2-4 weeks from interview date.

We support people to live in shared residences or group homes. There are 5 homes currently; 3 gentlemen houses and 2 ladies houses.

Shifts begin each day at 5pm – and last until 5pm the next day. (24/7/365). Number of shifts to work each week two or less and based on current coverage needs. (PRN available on request)

Job Duties will include but are not limited to:

Cooking, Cleaning, assisting with hygiene, transportation, assist with medical appointments, work well independently and as part of a larger team, helping others to become more involved/connected in their community.

Minimum Job Requirements

21 years of age

High school diploma/GED

Reliable Transportation

Valid driver’s license

Current auto insurance

Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds

Pay ($1,500 Signing Bonus)

Starting Staff Pay
Staff after 6 month review
Staff after 1 year review

Per Hour Pay
$9.50 p/h
$10 p/h
$10.50 p/h

Per Week Pay (2 24 hour shifts per week)
$494 p/w
$520 p/w
$546p/w

Per Month Pay (2 24 hour shifts per week)
$2,124 p/m
$2,236 p/m
$2,348 p/m

  • Sleep time counts toward these hours as well.

$.37 p/m reimbursement
