The Arc Montgomery County has vacancy for Respite Associate. Under the supervision of the Respite Administrator, the Respite Associate is responsible for both routine and specialized duties related to the coordination of respite care. Activities will focus on administrative support, customer service, application processing/tracking, database management, consortium management, and billing. The Respite Associate needs to work independently, always maintaining a high level of professionalism to create a positive outcome for families, but also function as an integral part of a small team. The position requires professionalism, flexibility, strong communication skills, an energetic and enthusiastic attitude, and a genuine interest in working with people of all ages and abilities.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and one year of relevant experience; or
• A.A degree in related field plus three years of relevant experience (30 credit hours may be substituted for one year of experience); or
• High school diploma or GED equivalency plus five years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience working in a professional office environment.
• Experience with database systems
• One-year experience with medical terminology or working with seniors or people with disabilities.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe.
• Bilingual preferred.
