Skopos Hospitality is a cutting-edge group of restaurants and bars located in Northern New Jersey. We are known for our craft cocktails and seasonal pub-style food menus, all set in uniquely designed spaces that transport our guests.

We are currently seeking a Bar Manager position at The Barrow House!

The Barrow House, which opened in October 2016, is styled as a Colonial-Era Farmhouse, on the site of a former farm. Modeled after a traditional Hall & Parlor Home, the space is comprised of seven unique rooms. Guests can enjoy options from our rustic American menu (ranging from salads, tacos, burgers, and entrees), a curated wine list, handcrafted cocktails, & robust selection of craft beer.

Responsibilities

• The Bar Manager will work collaboratively with our Beverage Director, General Manager, Chef and in building and managing all bar operations for The Barrow House.
• The role will be responsible for but not limited to hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling all bar staff
• Inventory & purchasing all beer, liquor, wine, and other bar supplies using our forecasting and inventory management tools
• Ensuring that the restaurant is hitting targeted beverage costs
• Strategizing and overseeing the execution of new menu items
• Run floor service alongside other management; ensuring the quality of service and beverage during service hours

Requirements

• 1+ year of full-service restaurant management experience required
• Strong service, food, and beverage knowledge required
• Detail-oriented, organized, and professional
• Comfortability with frequent decision-making and troubleshooting

Physical Demands
