The Restaurant Manager will manage and direct the daily operations of the restaurant including, development & performance of employees, managing the day-to-day operations & financial activities, and ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff members are providing exceptional guest service in all areas of the facility.
  • Manage subordinate employees in accordance with operations and upholding Wamesit policies.
  • Discipline subordinate employees when necessary.
  • Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date daily plan of restaurant staffing needs.
  • Prepare schedules to ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
  • Recruit, interview and hire candidates for employment based on the company needs.
  • Ensure all health and safety restaurant policies and procedures are followed.
  • Handle complaints and resolution steps and/or report to AGM or General Manager.
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the facility, employees and guests.
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of service uniforms and appearance standards.
  • Assist with coordinating and organizing private events and act as a liaison between Sales and Marketing.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable regarding menu, food preparation, beer, liquor and wine programs.
  • Understands wine and food pairings.
  • Schedule Front of House staff.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable in restaurant and beverage operations.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned & delegated by Superiors.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in the food & beverage and / or hospitality industry.
  • Proficient with all MS Office Applications.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Must have a driver’s license or reliable transportation.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Employment subject to successfully completing a Background Check and/or CORI Screening.
