Job Description:

Sell spare or replacement parts and equipment in parts store. Sell, store and issue sales floor merchandise, materials, equipment and other items from stockroom or warehouse to fill shelves, racks, tables or customer’s orders. May mark prices on merchandise and set up sales displays

Tasks

• Sells hardware, such as industrial fasteners, hand and power tools, electrical equipment, plumbing supplies etc.
• Greets customers
• Displays merchandise, keeping showroom fully stocked
• Receives payment or obtains credit authorization
• May take inventory of stock
• May assist in other areas for the total success of the company ➢ Keep records of out-going orders.
• Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves.
• Requisition additional materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Complete order receipts.
• Compute prices of items or groups of items. Other tasks as assigned by supervision.
