Job Summary:

Candidate will perform software verification on the Kodak Moments cloud platform components that include our Retail Platform APIs and the imaging components. The goal is to verify features and identify platform issues before the release is used by our internal clients. The testing approach requires the candidate to have familiarity testing RESTful APIs, working with automation using Postman (Newman), as well as working closely with the platform development engineers to understand the product and develop tests that help uncover errors before our clients do. Ideally, most of the tests will be automated, and those automated tests will be used for ongoing regression testing.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Designing test cases from documentation, specifications, tickets, and/or review of implemented code.
  • Performing manual and automated platform software testing and reporting the results in a timely manner.
  • Identifying ways to verify software as comprehensively as possible in the shortest amount of time.
  • Performing risk-based, ad hoc, and exploratory testing as needed.
  • Identifying and confirming software issues and documenting issues according to existing protocol.
  • Participating in reviews of platform goals and release schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Temperament to work with conflicting requirements or sparse requirements.
  • Flexibility to contribute effectively with changing priorities.
  • Reviewing code with an understanding of what the code is trying to accomplish.
  • Providing the team (e.g., management, developers, colleagues) testing progress and status updates.

Skill requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Software Quality Engineer or Software Test Engineer
  • Significant Automation experience
  • Experience with Postman, C#, JavaScript, Visual C#, Node.js
  • Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
  • Skills that would be a Plus:
  • Experience with Python and Selenium
  • Familiarity with Appium, Silk, and AutoIt
  • Experience with Azure
  • Familiarity with GitHub and Clear Case
  • Familiarity with Docker Containers and Nginx
  • Working Linux and Ubuntu knowledge
  • Familiarity with Shift Left, Automated Testing (pre-code check in, not post-build)

Minimum Education/Bachelor of Science in one of the following fields:

  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Programming
  • Computer Science
