Apple Valley Village is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Full-Time Wound Nurse. In this role, you will perform wound assessments and management for our residents and be a resource for staff. Our ideal candidate has previous supervisory/ leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills. RN Wound Nurse responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate wound care plans for residents.
• Become a resource to staff, nurse practitioners, physicians, residents, and families.
• Document wounds and measurements; Update physician on progress and obtain new treatment orders if needed.
• Audit nurses during dressing changes to assure proper technique.
• Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow up action as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as required.

RN Wound Nurse skills and requirements:

• Must have a current Minnesota Registered Nurse license and be in good standing.
• WOC or WCC certified preferred, or willingness to receive within 6 months of hire
• Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of staging of wounds.
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and strong problem-solving skills.
