The Position: In this role, you will be responsible for driving a truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons, for transporting materials to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties. We are seeking safe drivers who are comfortable driving in urban settings and able to operate vehicles efficiently in the greater Denver area at our location in Frederick, CO.
A WRM driver enjoys consistent work that is not subject to weather or economic fluctuations. Most of our shifts run Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. Shifts will vary, based on the needs of our customers. Regardless, WRM drivers get to go home after every shift!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transport RO Boxes to and from landfill.
- Service customers’ trash and cake
- Perform pre and post vehicle inspections.
- Keep truck clean and report maintenance deficiencies immediately.
- Move RO boxes around as needed.
- Maintain Manifest and Driver logbooks.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Special assignments may require certification.
Educational Background & Experience Requirements:
- High School/GED and 1 year certificate from college or technical school.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker endorsement (preferred).
- 1 year of driving experience.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
- Must have a valid Medical Card.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Positive work attitude.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Ability to work in high, precarious places and work with caustic chemicals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
