Sales/Customer service Representative

Great career opportunity for a detail-oriented account representative and customer service professional. We are an established multi-state industrial supply company looking for the right candidate to join our Hammond, Indiana team and provide outstanding service to our accounts. You will engage only existing well established accounts.

Qualifications:

· Team player with a positive attitude

· Requesting 1 + years in customer service or sales experience

· Procurement Experience

· Proactive in problem-solving

· Self-Starter, Detail-Oriented, and Organized

· Willingness to accept a challenging role with increased responsibility over time

· Microsoft Office knowledge

o i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

· Ability to work both as a team and independently to meet customer requirements

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Proven decision-making ability

· Reliable transportation and being able to be at work on time, every day.

· Industrial supply or related experience is a definite plus

Responsibilities to include:

· Collaborate with members of the sales team to ensure the completion of tasks

· Enhance operations by accepting ownership of projects and requests

· Service new and existing customers by providing excellent customer service

· Procurement

. i.e forecasting inventory usage

· Assist customers by phone or email

· Contact customers and vendors to request additional information

· Assist producers in new business and renewal presentations

· Quote new business, additional lines to cross-sell accounts, or remarket existing accounts

· Various administrative tasks
