Job Duties

• Partner with OEM and Tier-1 technical community to provide cable and wire solutions for the next generation of CASE technology vehicles.
• Modify the design of customer requests in case of RFQ or sample request by discussion with Design Engineering and Product Manager when necessary.
• Provide design advice and technical guidance in the application of Judd products. Provide feedback to Judd design and production personnel.
• Identify and help resolve all technical issues of assigned products to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
• Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; provide information; recommend options and courses of action; implement directives.
• Convey customer engineering requirements to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams; providing technical design assistance as needed.
• Respond to environmental and other survey requests from customers in a timely manner.
• Represent Judd at customers, technical exhibitions, conferences, and speaking engagements to assist in explaining technical and performance information.
• Travel periodically as necessary.
• Provide product, service, or technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests; assist in meeting budget goals.
• Maintain high-level customer satisfaction through correspondence to inquiries from customers; timely troubleshoot as needed; support customer service representatives internally if emergency problem exists.

  Submit written reports timely and thoroughly such as expense, customer and competitor information, forecasts, proposals, etc. Serve customers by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment and services.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on competitor activities.
• Identify, target, develop, and report new business or product opportunities for designated product lines.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.

• Broad knowledge of a discipline such as engineering involving the use of a broad theoretical knowledge equivalent to a complete 4-year college or university education. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• A wide variety of duties requiring a general knowledge of related organizational policies and procedures and their application to cases not previously covered. Duties require considerable judgment to work independently toward general results, to devise new or modify and adapt existing quality methods, techniques, and procedures to meet new or unusual requirements and to make related decisions controlled by precedent and within limits of established policies.
• Duties may involve the effective recommendation of organizational policies and/or preparation and presentation of data on which top management bases important decisions.
• Works with confidential data of major importance such as new product introductions and profit margins.
