Mills Auto Group/Honda of Harvey is looking for top notch high performing General Sales Manager to join our sales department in leadership. We are a 17 year old privately held auto group that is looking for leaders to join our team who we can train to grow with us into future postions.

You’ll work closely with upper management as well as the sales associate to ensure the business needs are met.

This role is a vital part to our team and dealership as a whole! This role is one of our main leaders in dedicated revenue generating position. This will be a leader for the variable operations side that is a pivotal role with vehicle sales, compliance of vehicle sales, work closely with vendors/banks and help guide us towards success. In this role one will be demonstrating excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. One needs to be able to enforce and follow policy/procedures with strength, lead by example, be knowledgeable in all products we offer(from warranties to vehicle products) and follow/abide by company processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, have fantastic people skills, be a student of new innovative techniques and a good trainer to their team. One who will lead with integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and Greet all customers; the Sales Team is to introduce the Sales Manager on duty.
  • Be a leader of the team and lead by example; follow all company processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership by action, getting up and working with the team; not leading from behind a desk.
  • Navigating through the incoming traffic to make the deals for the customers; managing the opportunities we have and taking the customer through the sales process from write to F&I.
  • Work directly with our employees and customers to develop relationships and help to enhance the sales process
  • Build rapport with customers to establish customer network
  • Manage the new vehicle inventory including ordering and dealer trades
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals. Train sales staff in sales processes.
  • Help manage all other aspects of the sales department
  • Assist with desking and processing deals (vehicle sales deals) daily.
  • Track Gross Logs and RDR cars
  • Work with banks consistently to get deals approved; not being afraid to pick up the phone and make a phone call.
  • Find opportunities in the CRM to increase vehicle sales.
  • Work with the team on closing skills to increase profits and closing percentages.
  • Being aware of the local market and competitors of vehicle pricing and trade values and adjust pricing when needed based on market condition and time of the year.
  • F & I deals when needed.
  • Working with the team on converting internet leads to appointments.
  • Purchase new/used vehicles and/or assist with.
  • Must ensure the team is certified in manufacturer training.
  • Assist with conducting a "Save the Deal Meeting" when instructed by General Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Prior automotive sales managerial experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of inventory control
  • Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook, CRM)
  • Professional
  • Strong work ethic
  • Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
