Your Role and Responsibilities
NOTE: This role requires the ability to be in the Brookhaven - IBM office 3 days each week.
To qualify for this role you must be enrolled in college for the duration of this internship. The role is for someone in college with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2024

Technical Support Services Mission is a crucial position for Atlanta Digital Sales Center providing support for the assigned clients in US Sub-Markets. Co-Op will be responsible for proposal elaboration assistance and small deals collaboration and ownership.

This sales role has responsibility for developing, progressing, and selling solutions to IBM clients. The seller will be responsible for identifying, proposing, and closing renewal and net new Technology Life Services (TLS) offerings to clients across different industries.



You will actively:
  • Prospect for new business to generate interest in IBM offerings
  • Drive client value and client satisfaction by using your technical expertise to address client business challenges
  • Grow skills and knowledge in consultative sales, technical solutions, and industry applications to demonstrate IBM’s thought leadership during client engagements
  • Work in a rapidly changing environment where no two days are the same
  • Interact with a variety of other talented, motivated colleagues
This position requires a real passion for client success, sales achievement, and daily collaboration with clients and other IBM teammates. The successful candidate will develop a knowledge of IBM Technology Services and Support offerings, have strong written and oral communication skills, and be highly organized. The candidate should be able to articulate the business offerings to new and existing IBM clients. The candidate must be able to understand the financials of a sale, and articulate the value to the client and management. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills. The role requires the seller to keep sales records updated, and have excellent communications with our clients. This Digital Sales Specialist must interact with account managers and cross-functional peers to execute sales objectives and targets. The candidate needs to be able to communicate with clients and demonstrate professional communications.

Please note: This role will involve technical consulting with clients; helping them design technical solutions.

The IBM Global Markets team is seeking highly talented undergraduate level student to fill consultative, client-focused, technical sales co-op role.

Location Statement
Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
