Overview:

Our Packaging division is looking for a sales representative to drive growth within our Kansas City area operations. This vital member of our team will be responsible for selling our services to businesses, organizations, and other commercial clients within Group O's footprint. This role involves traveling to meet with clients and developing relationships with key decision-makers to identify their needs and recommend solutions.

This individual will be located in the greater Kansas City area.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing new and existing customer sales for secondary and tertiary packaging
    • Building relationships
    • Identifying needs
    • Matching products and services with needs
  • Participating in customer requests for quotes and proposals
    • Gathering and communicating requirements and specifications
    • Participating in pricing
    • Presenting quotes and proposals
  • Participating in order management
    • Receiving orders and relaying them to operations
    • Monitoring order fulfillment
    • Monitoring invoicing
    • Monitoring and reporting on customer satisfaction
  • Finding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings and efficiency
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for an extended period of time
  • Valid drivers license
  • Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads
  • Ability to travel (overnight)

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years of sales experience
    • Preferred packaging distribution sales experience
  • Knowledgeable of CRM software
  • Knowledge of services and products
  • Previous experience in sales, account management or customer support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to present information to managers, clients, suppliers and peers
  • Problem solving ability
