Job description
This individual will be located in the greater Kansas City area.
- Developing new and existing customer sales for secondary and tertiary packaging
- Building relationships
- Identifying needs
- Matching products and services with needs
- Participating in customer requests for quotes and proposals
- Gathering and communicating requirements and specifications
- Participating in pricing
- Presenting quotes and proposals
- Participating in order management
- Receiving orders and relaying them to operations
- Monitoring order fulfillment
- Monitoring invoicing
- Monitoring and reporting on customer satisfaction
- Finding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings and efficiency
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Skills:
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for an extended period of time
- Valid drivers license
- Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads
- Ability to travel (overnight)
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Preferred packaging distribution sales experience
- Knowledgeable of CRM software
- Knowledge of services and products
- Previous experience in sales, account management or customer support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to present information to managers, clients, suppliers and peers
- Problem solving ability
