The Sample Login Technician I assists the Login Staff with the proper receipt, documentation and storage of samples.

Schedules and Pay:

• Monday - Friday 6 am - 3:30 pm
• Monday - Friday 3 pm - 11:30 pm (10% shift differential will be added to base pay)

Pay starts at a base of $18/hr

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive samples from Alpha staff and/or clients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Take and record sample temperatures.
• Review chain-of-custody paperwork and compare to samples received for correctness.
• Assign unique project number and enter all project information into Alpha’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Print and affix tracking labels on all containers.
• Transfer samples to appropriate custody refrigerators/freezers.
• Deadshelf expired samples.
• Assist with other Login/Custody related duties as necessary.
• Develop improved techniques with Team Leader or Manager.

Required Skills:

• Must be a quick learner; highly motivated, able to work independently, and follow prescribed methods and direction.
• Able to follow direction and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 0-1 year

Other: Can pick up new technologies and systems easily
