Job description

Individuals in the Scheduler position have a direct role in the chocolate production process from beginning to end. They are responsible for insuring each piece of candy that comes out of our facility is "Only the Finest" quality that our customer have grown to expect. This position will report Monday - Friday 8 AM -5:00 PM. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Duties:

• Rapidly react to planning changes and have a forward backup plan daily and weekly.
• Ability to balance long runs with capacity and demand.
• Ability to run without problems concerning dates and storage space.
• Strong personality, confidence, communication to take control and run daily production meetings.
• Rapidly learn multiple constraints in departments that are not systematized.
• Active listener to observe and recall reoccurring issues.
• Aggressive personality making sure supplies are on hand and constraints are alleviated.
• Detailed orientated. Double checking supplies and actively tracking daily when arrive.
• Analytical thinker and backing actions with data.
• Ability to be a diplomat when plant and planning goals do not align
• Ability to work effectively in a service oriented environment.
• May be assigned other jobs by plant management as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED plus Business School Certification preferred.
• Two years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
• Good working knowledge of personal computers, MS Office Software, Excel and SAP.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Flexible to work scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
