The District Support Center is seeking applications for a Reigistered Nurse starting Fall 2019.

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for the health and care of students with medical needs. The school nurse directs the district's immunization and health screening programs, maintains appropriate records, enforces state and district health requirements, provides health reports to the district and state, develops health care plans for the educational setting, provides nursing services and recommends accommodations for students to access their education, and keeps administrators up to date on health concerns and needs in the district.

A candidate must have the following:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution* OR three (3) or more years of licensed, practical experience as a RN with school-aged children.
• Must hold a valid RN issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies or hold an RN in another state that is participating in the nurse licensing compact agreement.
• Successful completion of field experiences and a supervised practicum as prescribed by the preparing institution, including experiences with school-age children in a community health/public health or school setting.

• CCNE- and ACEN-accredited programs also accepted.

The position only requires day-time hours, Monday - Friday and follows the same days off as with the normal school schedule (Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break, etc.) This position is PERA eligible and benefits eligible.
