Job description
JOB GOAL: To work with individual students (with or without disabilities) and specialized groups. Individual will work as part of a building Crisis Intervention Team, and support the social/emotional needs of the building based on need. Also, this position will be responsible for completing all psychological and academic achievement testing at the building level. Preferred: Willingness to be Safety Care Trained and serve as a district trainerPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES./COMPETENCIES: 1.Works with students, grades PreK-12, with and without special needs, and supports in instructional and non-instructional settings.2.Completes any and all testing related to the eligibility process under IDEA and Massachusetts State Regulations governing Students with Disabilities, shares information with TEAM, and supports implementation of recommendations to the greater staff.3. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about the student as is expected of a fully licensed teacher/professional.4. Knowledge of SEL competencies and the ability to work with the SST team. 5.
Knowledge of multi-tiered systems (academic and social-emotional)6. Assist in crisis intervention and Safety Care training of school staff. 7. Provide input in the SST process to ensure students are provided differentiated, best practices, and appropriate intervention has been implemented before they are brought up for evaluation.
8. Help develop tier 3 interventions for SEL needs. 9. Work with students individually and in group settings.
