Job description

Hamlin's Marine is looking for 1 seasonal driver at our Hampden location who can effectively multi-task in fast paced boat yard immediately through October 2023.

While working as a driver, you will primarily pick up and deliver boats to customers and to different Hamlin's locations. You will assist with the safe and efficient moving of trailers and boats in and out of the yard, storage buildings, service bays, and customer launches in & out of the water.

This position requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping. Position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Position may be required to work across a wide variety of Maine weather conditions.

Business hours are M-F 7:30am-4-5pm, and Saturdays from 8-12 during boating season.

Required

• Valid Driver's License
• Authorized to work in the US
• Trailer driving experience
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and check-in/check-out sheets
• Must have legible handwriting
• Ability to speak effectively and use walkie in a manner that displays professionalism with customers
• Ability to work independently & with a team
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to handle a fast pace and quickly transition between job duties

Preferred

• Experience in a marine environment with vessel movement
• Tractor and yard equipment experience
• Hydraulic trailer operating experience
• Forklift training
• Basic mechanical hand tools & preventive maintenance
