Position Summary:

Receives instructions both verbally and from detailed prints and routings, then sets-up and operates a variety of different equipment to complete assigned tasks. Ideal candidate has a versatile knowledge and experience in fabricating custom engineered, high quality metal and plastic labels, nameplates, and panels. Candidate must have a keen eye for detail and patience to ensure that products are created with speed, precision, and care.

Job Description:

  • May perform any or all of the machines/operations within the Fabrication department including, laminating, packing, punch press, shear (manual and electric foot shear)
  • Follow departmental job policies and procedures.
  • Inspect material as determined in work instructions.
  • Maintain a neat and safe work area.
  • Adaptable to and a range of knowledge of all areas of production within plant.
  • Operate machines that may include punch press, shears, drills and milling machines.
  • Visually inspect materials while running machine.
  • Attention to detail as it relates to quality.
  • Be willing to work with a computer in a limited capacity.
  • Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
  • Must have flexible work habits.
  • Assists with repairs to machines and equipment in Fabrication shop as requested or required by maintenance.
  • All levels may perform other functions such as moving parts/material, loading/unloading, sweeping, cleaning, and various other assignments as needed.
  • May be asked to support other areas withing the facility as needed or required by shop workload.
  • Identify questions and/or problems, report and work with the appropriate supervisor.
  • Read company job travelers and documents as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong knowledge of math
  • Blueprint reading
  • Fraction and Decimal conversion
  • Knowledge of Metalphoto® process helpful
  • Ability to read and understand measuring and inspection equipment, tools
  • 3 years’ experience is desired

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of technical and professional personnel.
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.
  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • A hands-on approach that encourages improvement.
  • High attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot drawings and specs.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with E2 a plus.
  • Must have clean driver’s license and reliable transportation. (Facility is located within walking distance of Shrewsbury Park & Ride.)

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • 401K, medical, PTO, paid holidays, and bonuses to be discussed at interview.
  • Hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
  • Overtime as requested/needed.

Work Environment:

  • Temperature controlled QC room and shop floor

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
