Job Description

Security Guards are a vital part of the safety and security of our locations, employees, and patrons. Security Guards maintain the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with all legal requirements. They must ensure adherence to all safety and security protocols as established by Pleasantrees, the Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA), and all municipalities. An ideal candidate will be extremely observant, detail-orientated and possess sound judgement, professionalism, and decision-making skills. Security Guards will need to provide excellent customer service and assist the store with general operations and guest engagement. NOTE: This is an unarmed position.

Responsibilities

• Prevent losses and damage by informing violators of policy and procedure and restraining trespassers.

• Exhibits pride through positive demeanor, body language, and personal presentation.

• Always follow MRA delivery guidelines to remain fully compliant with any regulations.

• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

• Guards secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry.

• Prevent losses and damage by informing violators of policy and procedure and restraining trespassers.

• Maintain safe and secure environment for patrons and staff by patrolling and monitoring working premises.

• Monitor and observe security cameras to detect suspicious and unlawful behavior.

• Perform perimeter checks around all properties to ensure the security of the premises for employees and patrons.

• Daily compliance with shop policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.

• Coordinate with local law enforcement or safety officials as needed.

• Work closely with store team to ensure exceptional, seamless guest experience.

Experience and Requirements

• Previous experience as a security officer/guard is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in the marijuana/cannabis industry is preferred but not required.
• Pass a pre-employment Background Check.
• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
• Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Provide necessary documentation for employment in the United States.
• Basic computer and Microsoft 360 skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Able to periodically bend, reach, and squat.
• Able to physically lift at least 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
