Pay Starting is $20.08 + $4.27 in H&W

Increase after one year $21.56 + $4.27 in H&W

REQUIREMENTS

Have a TOP SECRET clearance

Successfully pass a medical/fitness examination including MMPI-2 and Shipley Institute of Living Scale and drug test

Complete a Physical Abilities Test and run a mile in less than 10 minutes

Minimum three years experience

US citizen

High school Diploma or GED

Valid state driver’s license

At least 21 years of age

No felony convictions or Lautenberg Amendment restrictions

Complete a 4 week training program (Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm) at the time of hire

Qualify with a pistol, rifle and shotgun

Compensation:

The first year- is $20.08/ hour and after the first year it goes to $21.56/ hour

Additionally, the H&W is 4.27 an hour.

An armed officer, who has successfully completed the required NASA training, with NASA Federal arrest authority, whose duties may include but are not limited to, first response to emergencies, enforces federal law, mobile patrols, inspections and searches, traffic enforcement, and investigations, and other duties as required. In general, officers, assigned to specialized teams will come from this category, e.g. K-9 (other than explosive detection), Emergency Response Units, and marine patrols. SPO are required to have and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
