Columbus Regional Airport Authority is looking for a Senior Accountant/Supervisor who wants to “Land Your Next Career”!

Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence:
- Oversees the implementation of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements. Completes financial statement disclosures checklist; maintains and prepares detailed work papers to support financial statements.
- Responsible for the year-end close process and the preparation of the annual financial statements including managing the close checklist, communicating deadlines to the organization and preparing lead schedules, reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepares the audited Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Works closely with external and internal auditors and oversees the completion of audit requests.
- Oversees the fixed asset process including the recording of asset additions, disposals, transfers and depreciation as well the recording and reconciliation of real estate development land transactions and bi-annual real estate taxes.
- Oversees the bank reconciliation process for multiple bank accounts.
- Identifies and implements accounting process changes in support of continued growth of the business while maintaining financial and operational controls.
- Supervises the work of assigned staff, including coaching and counseling, assigning and reviewing work, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Leads ad hoc analysis and special projects. Perform related work as required.
Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 - 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading team members, projects and reviewing the work of others.
- Public account firm experience in assurance or advisory, preferred
- Certified Public Accountant certification (or considerable progress toward CPA), preferred.
- Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
