KS Engineers, P.C. (KSE) offers an exciting new leadership-track opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineer. We are seeking a full-time Senior Civil Highway Engineer/Department Manager with a BS in Civil Engineering, and at least 8 to 12 years of experience in Civil Engineering Design to provide support in our Mount Laurel, NJ office. This is an excellent opportunity to lead, mentor, and be part of a team. Qualified candidates should be experienced with highway design and preparation of construction documents. Familiarity with agency standards and protocols including: NJDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, NJTA and NJ Counties is a plus. Experience in project management, preparing technical and cost proposals, and understanding of QA/QC procedures is desirable. Strong verbal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or conduct Civil Engineering design tasks including geometrics, profiles/grading, drainage/storm water management, soil erosion and sediment control, traffic signs and markings, maintenance and protection of traffic

Prepare technical specifications, quantity and cost estimates, design and construction schedules
Prepare design study reports and deliverables
Coordinate and deal directly with clients
Periodically organize and lead fieldwork effort with internal staff teams
Assist in developing design scope of work and associated fee estimates, and other business development efforts
Provide mentorship to junior staff.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• BSCE, MS preferred

Professional Engineer’s license in NJ and/or NY
8- 12 years of progressive experience in Civil design for roadway and site improvements including the use of CADD and related computer design software
Proficient in applying Design Manuals in use by various governmental agencies
Excellent writing skills.

Pay: $59,716.18 - $140,000.00 per year
