About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist in Corporate Risk as part of the Fair Lending Analytics team. The Fair Lending Analytics team, within Responsible Banking Compliance, works closely with the Corporate Risk Model Development Center of Excellence to provide expert analytics and regulatory risk insights to advise Compliance, Business, and Control Leaders of their potential fair lending risks at the enterprise level and across all in-scope businesses for Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B) and the Fair Housing Act. The team uses a variety of analytical and diagnostic tools, including simple analytics such as means, and advanced analytics such as statistical modeling and loan review analysis to determine the effectiveness of business policies, controls, and procedures at controlling potential disparate treatment and impact, or differences in customer outcomes on a prohibited basis and potential root causes.

In this role, you will:
- Support the design and execution of fair lending analytic reviews to support the FLA framework across the life cycle for businesses in-scope for Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B) and the Fair Housing Act to ensure compliance with fair lending laws and the absence of discriminatory factors or potentially disparate impacts
- Provide high-quality reviews that help Wells Fargo identify, quantify, and mitigate legal and/or regulatory risks related to fair lending
- Support the design and help conduct complex and in-depth comparative file reviews to identify potential risk drivers contributing to fair lending risk
- Gain understanding of line-of-business consumer lending policies, practice, lending strategies, and documentation systems and their impact on potential fair lending risk
- Understand and/or analyze data sources, data inputs and data limitations, and how loan review connects to statistical modeling and analytic results and related fair lending controls
- Help to effectively communicate team expertise, analyses, results, and risk management insights to partners and key stakeholder both inside and outside of Wells Fargo Compliance to promote fair lending risk management and Wells Fargo's compliance management system
- Foster and maintain collaborative working relationships with Business and other expert partners, and leverage those to inform analytic reviews and team risk management activities
- Provide support for the creation, design, and execution of accurate reports that effectively communicate to a range of audiences the insights and information gained during loan decisioning, pricing, servicing, and/or marketing reviews
- Support fair lending regulatory exams, audits, and litigation requests as needed
- Proactively promote an inclusive and collaborative work environment
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of Fair and Responsible Banking Compliance experience
- 3+ year of target testing or quality assurance experience
- Knowledge and understanding of consumer fair lending regulations, such as Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B) and the Fair Housing Act
- Knowledge and understanding of the full lending life cycle and concept
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- Experience effectively communicating in verbal and written formats to multiple stakeholders including senior executive management
- Experience designing and interpreting statistical analysis
- Ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects
- Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change; exercising independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques
- Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
