Our products are sold in over 25,000 retail stores in the United States and Canada and we have shipped directly to consumers in all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico and Canada. Budge has an office location in Pennsylvania as well as a manufacturing plant and multiple warehouses in Kentucky.

Job Title: Senior Pattern Designer

Budge Industries is looking for a highly skilled Senior Pattern Designer to lead the development of products from design concept to production-ready hand-off. In this role, you will ensure that fit and technical engineering meet or exceed expectations, while maintaining the brand's quality standards and integrity. As a Senior Pattern Designer, you will be responsible for overseeing the sample making process, pattern development creation, and maintenance for all new and existing products. You will also provide recommendations on improving construction for production and/or cost, troubleshoot challenging designs, and solve complex technical problems.

Responsibilities:

§ Oversee the prototype process for new product development.

§ Provide recommendations on how to improve construction for production and/or cost. Troubleshoot any challenging designs.

§ Own pattern development creation and maintenance for all new and existing products.

§ Exhibit a high level of complex technical problem-solving skills.

§ Manage time effectively with a great sense of urgency.

§ Ensure execution of design and fit while maintaining aesthetics and quality standards.

§ Develop and maintain fit protocol and standards.

§ Protect brand integrity through fit continuity: development and utilization of blocks (if needed) and specification standards within designated product category.

§ Drive continual improvement and innovation to enhance product quality, fit, and process effectiveness.

§ Foster a team atmosphere within the area and across product categories by encouraging open communication and professional feedback.

Qualifications:

§ 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

§ Expertise in patternmaking, including grading, construction, and fit for multiple and complex products.

§ Specialist in fit with knowledge of construction standards and manufacturing methods.

§ Experience with Lectra (or similar computer pattern programs, such as Illustrator, Gerber, PDM, Tradestone).

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

§ Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface effectively with senior/executive leadership.

§ Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

§ Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Other Details:

§ Compensation: $105k-$125k/year depending on experience and abilities
