Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Provider Credentialing and Enrollment designs and oversees system-wide Provider Credentialing and Enrollment including the CVO. Translates long-term corporate strategic objectives into current year priorities that enable Sutter Health (SH) to successfully compete, grow, and advance within the health care industry. Obtains input from operational leadership and system functions to identify and set annual goals and objectives for Provider Credentialing and Enrollment. Creates organization provider credentialing and enrollment "racetrack" to ensure key priorities are reviewed in appropriate settings to engage and align. Develops Credentialing and enrollment strategic dashboard and metric ecosystem design, ensuring integration with incentive plan strategy, and track dashboard performance. Leads and maintain alignment of accountabilities and decision making across leadership teams, councils and affinity groups to ensure a nimble and efficient organization. Recognized as the corporate cornerstone for planning, provide project support for identified operational and system credentialing function initiatives, and oversee design and implementation necessary to achieve the specified results.

This is a work from home opportunity with some onsite work requirements as well. Candidates must live within the Sutter footprint.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Master's: Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Health or related field or equivalent education/experience


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 15 years of recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of enterprise planning principles, methodologies and tools to construct and implement short-, medium- and long-term business strategies.
  • Knowledge of defining, developing and tracking key corporate goals and metrics that drive agile performance in a dynamic environment is essential.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, business and new product development, merger and acquisition due diligence, business planning, data and financial analytics, marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Knowledge of the internal and external factors that can affect an enterprise, such as PESTLE (political, economic, social, technological, legal and environmental factors) and possesses an extensive knowledge base regarding industry trends, new technologies, health plan changes, reimbursement changes, changes in local competitor strategies, cost reduction strategies, national trends, etc.
  • Knowledge of integrated healthcare systems (ambulatory, physician, inpatient) and financial/operations, including physician group management and patient financing.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lean or other process improvement philosophies and methodologies.
  • Skill in establishing, building and maintaining effective working relationships with executives, boards and other key stakeholders.
  • Engaging communication/presentation skills with the ability to succinctly explain the relationship between corporate strategies, business drivers and the desired end state in lay terms to diverse audiences (executive, physician, employee, and external).
  • Ability to create an environment that encourages change and builds consensus while motivating high performance teamwork to achieve corporate and local objectives through innovative strategies.
  • Advanced level of computer competency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as appropriate applications for research and analysis.


Pay Range: $85.83 - $137.33 hr

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
