Our partner, a leading utilities company in the northeastern US, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team for a full-time, 3-month contract (potential for extension/conversion to perm). The work format is hybrid, with an expected 2 days in-office each week at 5110 Data Drive, Waltham, MA 02451.

Description:

The role involves a blend of financial and business skills, outputs will be used to present to Senior Leadership and set Strategy Roadmaps

• Review and analyze the global budgets
• Identify cost levers
• Produce headcount profile of RTB vs investment cost
• Conduct review sessions with CC owners to validate and sign off the financial playbooks
• MVP for 2 services (UTOC and Service Ops)
• High level framework for consumption model to recharge back to BUs
• Conduct review sessions with team leads to validate and sign off the recharge approach
• Global CC views of RTB spend (FY23-26) that ties back to SBP22 submission, which will help us plan ahead for SBP23 and upcoming rate cases
• FY23-27 bridges to articulate changes in the RTB footprint

Qualifications:

• Experience building comprehensive financial playbooks at IT Function level (headcount, vendor spend, etc) to inform spend profile (c. $150m)
• Hands-on experience building IT recharge cost models (understanding of consumption-driven methodology, cost levers, etc)
• Advanced Excel modelling skills, with experience manipulating complex data sets from different system sources (SAP)
• Experience with SAP (understanding of KOB1 GL reports, Purchase Orders, timesheets)
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting for 1-5 year timeframe
• Ability to summarize and present data to Senior Leadership
• Ideally, prior consulting experience in a Finance/ Audit/ Tax environment or Finance Function
• Preferred but not required: certified accountant or familiarity with GAAP and FERC rules

understanding of ATUM TBM Finance Framework

Must Haves:

• Strong financial management experience, gained in a Finance function or consulting role
• Strong financial modelling experience (as the role will require Excel work and data analysis)
• Experience building finance recharge models based on consumption
• Experience with financial planning (resource forecasting, investment and run the business costs)
• Advanced data analysis skills, ability to understand data patterns and summarise to Exec level
• Good understanding financial budgets (how data is derived, updated, used for planning and decision-making)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
