Education/experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Hands on experience in grounds maintenance.
Job Summary
Perform assigned grounds maintenance duties on Radford University’s campus, including athletic facilities, under the supervision of the Grounds Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Experience in operation of hand tools and equipment in grounds keeping such as lawnmower, weed-eaters and trimmers. Experience in grounds maintenance. Ability to interact in a positive manner with the campus community and fellow employees in a diverse environment. Ability to work independently while maintaining schedules. Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions. Ability to read basic maps and construction drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands on experience in athletic field maintenance. Pesticide applicator’s license in areas 3A and 3B. Supervisory experience. Commercial Driver’s License. Demonstrates ability to operate heavy machinery. Experience with snow removal operations.

Starting at $31,200 (Pay Band 1)
