Senior HRIS Analyst
Job description
- Provides HCM functional system support & solutions to include table maintenance, testing, integration & collaboration with IT
- Troubleshoots and develops solutions when error messages occur by opening Kaseya tickets, if necessary
- Provides system testing and security support during PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) updates and upgrades to the HCM system
- Assists with issues of overall system functionality and works with appropriate MDC resources to resolve reported issues
- Assists in planning and running user acceptance testing when new functionality is implemented
- Works with each HCM module to review configuration requests needed and follows department documentation and approval process
- Maintains appropriate documentation of all HCM configuration changes and updates module configuration workbooks
- Assists with all Perceptive Content support and maintenance as well as coordination of all new
- Perceptive Content related initiatives
- Monitors the Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) for processes held in routing to ensure all transactions are directed to the proper channels for approval
- Creates ad hoc reports and queries based on user requirements and documents design and data structure
- Runs weekly report and communicates to IT and College Security Administrators to disable Active Directory (AD) access and automatic lockout in PeopleSoft
- Provides knowledge transfer sessions to guide other HRIS analysts
- Ensures HR data accuracy for all college, local, state, and federal reporting purposes
- Produces daily, weekly or monthly audit reports as scheduled and requested
- Provisions or de-provisions security access to HCM Pillar as requested on the HR security form or Finance security form for payroll, time & labor and absence management access
- Execute security-related processes to update/maintain the ERP Security structure
- Creates and maintains HCM user profiles, roles, and permission lists
- Maintains both the department security tree as departments are added and the query security tree as queries are developed
- Processes Kaseya and PHIRE HCM security tickets
- Manages workflow security and troubleshoots errors
- Generates security reports related to users, roles, permission lists, department-level access
- Maintains budget manager and timekeeper listings and reviews to prevent duplicated access
- Creates different permission lists for each budget manager and timekeeper as new employees are assigned
- Ensures that all Security related forms and tickets are scanned and linked in Perceptive Content
- Provides Timeclock Plus access to all current timekeepers
- Maintains security for all end users in multiple Peoplesoft HCM environments
- Follows college policy, procedure, and/or MDC business practices pertaining to security set forth by District IT
- Maintains security access to Perceptive Content for scanning or viewing HR documents

- Bachelor of Science in a related field of study such as Computer Science, MIS or Information Systems and seven (7) years of administrative experience in Human Resources; or Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Familiar with all modules used by HR within Peoplesoft HCM: Benefits, Workforce Management (Core HR),
- Talent Management, and ePerformance
- Familiar with other modules used in Peoplesoft HCM: Payroll for North America, Time and Labor, Absence
- Management, and Position Management.
- Understanding of query creation and tables in Peoplesoft HCM
- Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret state and federal guidelines for HR reporting purposes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X operating system
- Knowledge and understanding of business processes and process controls in HCM
- Ability to analyze system problems and develop solutions through the configuration of the system
- Knowledge of designing, implementing, and supporting security processes in an ERP environment, preferably PeopleSoft
- Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Perceptive Content or any document management system
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic issues with personal technical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects
- Possess excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
