We currently have an immediate opening for an experienced Lab Equipment Maintenance Tech in our fast-paced Optical Lab located in Omaha, NE. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!

Job Summary

Friday to Monday 1:30 pm to 12:00 am

40 hours in 4 days – 3 days off

Job Description

• Repairing and maintaining CNC based machines along with other types of lab machinery.
• Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical and Mechanical.
• Must have computer PC knowledge and PLC experience.
• Must be able to read and use a meter to diagnose electrical issues.
• Modify programming of robots and related equipment using related software.
• Diagnosing & Repairing CNC based machines; Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations duties per manufacturer's specifications.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments.
• Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards.
• Must be comfortable calling Tech Support for various types of equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatic).
• Experience with Power & Diagnostic Tools.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background (5+ years of experience).
• Experience with PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.).
• Experience with schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays).
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns).
• Attend vendor training on specific equipment.
• Effectively communicate with vendors, supervisors and employees, on all shifts, providing troubleshooting and training as needed.
