A Role You Will Love

The Special Loan Associate III position ensures efficient servicing of various mortgage products. Minimizes risk by ensuring items are handled timely and within company, investor, and regulatory guidelines. The position is responsible for a wide variety of servicing products and specializations. The Special Loans Associate III Independently works on special projects involving, but not limited to, procedural review and updates, data audits, and highly detailed research. Recommends appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Audit mortgage loan documents and, input findings into software systems and/or tools to include, but not limited to, the following: ARM loan audits, HELOC loan audits, monitoring of daily billing and analysis reports, billing history research, internal research requests and CITs, ARM Contract audits, review and input of prior receivable data (invoices) and/or ARM histories into boarding systems, audit/reconciliation/mailing of notices to customer within specified timeframes.
  • Loan maintenance, which includes, but not limited to, the following:
    • Maturity and Balloon date maintenance
    • Interest rate review
    • Complete internal research requests
    • Document verification
    • Monitor exception reporting
    • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Assist and provide backup for other operational functions within the department
  • Cross train new and existing team members and Contribute in process improvement initiatives
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Other education and key skills required for the role include:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior experience in the mortgage industry, as well as an understanding of mortgage documents preferred.
  • Detail oriented, with strong organizational, auditing, and time management skills.
  • Ability to think independently and problem solve.
  • Ability to work under stringent daily and monthly deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products; proficient data entry skill set
  • Ability to read/comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one/small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Compensation. The base pay range for this role is $39,498- $65,830 per year. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, California, Nevada, New York, Washington State and Jersey City, NJ.
