Scope of the Job
Using independent judgment and initiative, supports the Division Department. Reports directly to the designated immediate manager for the specific practice or outpatient department.
Essential Functions
- Performs general office duties.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondences. Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintains physician files, calendars, schedules and arranges meetings.
- Arranges travel, prepares itineraries, completes travel reimbursement documentation and submits necessary paperwork.
- Maintains electronic and hard copy files.

Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, 10-key, database management, and transcription equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments to work independently as well as a collaborative team member.

Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a medical office or medical related facility required. Minimum of 2 years of Administrative experience required.
Experience in relevant position may be substituted for education on a year to year equivalency basis.
Education and Certifications
Diploma or GED equivalent require; Associates degree preferred. Experience in relevant position may be substituted for education on a year to year equivalency basis.
