JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, Implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the local and wide area networks of Fried Frank to ensure maximum uptime for users.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

The Senior Network Engineer is part of the Networking and Network Security team that reports directly to the Networking and Network Security Manager. The Network Engineer must interface effectively with directors, managers, and staff in all department areas, including Operations, Applications Support, Programming, and Help Desk

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, including routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, Wireless systems, NAC, SDWAN, DNS, and DHCP
• Procuring network equipment and installation
• Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Monitoring network equipment performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
• Updating network equipment with system upgrades, service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP and BGP
• In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as WAN, WLAN, LAN, and Internet
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, including routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, wireless systems, NAC, SDWAN, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with Cisco 4500, 3750, and Nexus 7K and 9K NX-OS
• Cloud computing service in Microsoft Azure
• Deep understanding of IPSEC, GRE, BGP, 802.11, and QoS
• Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues leveraging network analytics tools
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, from design to implementation

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Law firm experience is a plus

Experience: The ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 years of experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment supporting a high-performance, converged enterprise network. We seek a skilled individual who combines excellent operational judgment with network engineering and troubleshooting skills. The candidate must be able to execute tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Close attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Attendance: The Network Engineer must be able to work in a business environment requiring 7 days/24 hour responsibility and response time. This is NOT a remote position. Incumbent will be expected to be onsite/in-office 5 days/week.
