Sr. Manager, Production Operations
Who We Are Looking For
AGCO is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Production Operations to join our Manufacturing team in Hesston, KS. Operations at the Hesston site include processes such as lasers, press brakes, manual and robotic welding, machining, paint, and assembly. The Sr. Manager, Production Operations will primarily be responsible for multiple AGCO manufacturing business unit operations.
The Sr. Manager, Production Operations will also have specific responsibility for implementing and maintaining AGCO’s process of continuous improvement by deploying the AGCO Production System (APS) tools and processes for driving breakthrough technology improvements and implementation within the business units.
In addition, the Sr. Manager, Production Operations will actively engage and collaborate with the following areas and functions to achieve site goals and requirements: Engineering (ME), Quality, Materials and Supply Chain, Facilities & Maintenance, Design, and Demand Planning.
What You Will Do
Direct responsibility for operational performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Continuous Improvement, Efficiency, Cost, and Employee Engagement
Responsible for identifying, growing, and developing the talent in the operations organization resulting in improved leadership effectiveness.
Develop annual operating budgets for business units, including establishing and meeting financial goals and objectives by forecasting requirements and variances.
Establish and submit capital budget planning.
Lead capacity planning activities for business units to deliver corporate S&OP planning requests.
Lead business units in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
Influence without authority across functions within and across the plants.
Lead and promote employee safety improvements in all production processes and activities.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing setting.
5+ years of experience managing in one or more of the following operations areas: lasers, press brakes, manual and robotic welding, machining, paint, and assembly.
5+ years of experience as a strategic partner in continuous improvement initiatives with demonstrated results in improving KPI’s.
Ability to demonstrate advanced understanding and experience of a variety of Lean Manufacturing tools such as lean conversion, value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, visual and daily management, and standardized work.
Ability to: influence without authority, drive for sustainable results, build relationships, create trust, thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities, take initiative, build and develop a team, develop and implement plans to recover when metrics are not meeting target, and effectively communicate and present to individuals and teams at all levels of the organization, and lead with transparency and commitment to AGCO’s core values.
