The Customer Care Engineering Team is a team of backend engineers responsible for designing and building a software platform to support the Customer Care Team. By streamlining the customer's interaction with our Care Team, you will help improve the overall customer experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you can expect to own and solve complex problems dealing with all aspects of the Flexcar software ecosystem. You will bring technical leadership to this growing team by leading system design, establishing best practices and providing mentorship to teammates.
What you'll do:
- Work collaboratively with Customer Care leaders, Product Managers and other Engineers to devise creative solutions that will make the customer facing representatives' jobs easier.
- Design, implement and deploy services within the core Flexcar product to streamline integration with Customer Care tools.
- Evaluate and integrate with third party solutions.
- Design and implement custom tools or scripts.
- Dive deep to understand technical and product complexities and simplify into straightforward, easy to maintain software.
- Don't settle for good enough, share and develop best practices with your team and partners.
- Act as a customer advocate and as a leader in everything you do.
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite per week)
What drives success for this role:
- 5+ years of production experience writing code on the JVM platform (Java/Kotlin).
- 5+ years of production experience with microservices, SQL/NoSQL, and RESTful endpoints.
- Expertise to cloud-based architecture and best practices
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud.
- Experienced with DevOps, CI/CD, SDLC, and testing best practices.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Tech Stack:
- Web services are written in Typescript and JVM languages
- Frameworks: Spring/Boot, Hibernate
- Databases: PostgreSQL
- Messaging systems: Kafka
- Kubernetes/Docker
- AWS infrastructure (e.g., KMS, Parameter Store, S3, RDS, EKS, ECR)
