Overview

Title: Server

Employee type: Hourly – Non-Exempt- Part-Time

Reports to: Assistant General Manager

Location: 800 Hwy 87, Calera, AL

Hours: Schedule is flexible based on your availability, mostly weekends.

Compensation: $9 per hour base plus tips (average $25-$90 per shift) plus a 50% employee discount on food and wine purchases

Role:

Corbin Farms Winery is a family-owned and operated winery in Calera, AL. The winery was founded in 2005 and purchased by the Corbin Family in 2017. The Corbin’s are dedicated to providing premium quality products and memorable experiences for our customers. We are offering a great opportunity to join an upbeat team of wine lovers and are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, customer service driven associate.

Job Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Guide customers through a tasting experience of our wide array of wines
• Serve bistro style food
• Effectively sell wine, retail items, and event venue
• Maintain overall cleanliness of tasting room, dining areas, and restrooms
• Opening/closing responsibilities of tasting room
• Utilize POS (point of sale) system, cash drawer setup, order completion and closing
• Check stock levels and request supplies as needed
• Attend routine staff meetings
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• Knowledge, appreciation and passion for wine and wine related topics
• Winery experience beneficial but not required
• Excellent customer service and oral communications skills
• Detail oriented, strong multi-tasking abilities
• Must always be a team player and maintain positive disposition
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Versatile, flexible and willingness to work within constant changes
• Must be legal age to serve alcohol in the state of Alabama
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4+ hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
