Job description

This position will perform network infrastructure, server administration, and project work at the direction of the IT Manager to support both local and Safran Corporate initiatives. The expectation is that this position can perform at a high level with minimal supervision and direction and provide various project guidance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with both physical and virtual server patching and firmware upgrades.
• Patch and Upgrade virtual environments as needed: Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare
• Setup and Support Print, File, SQL, License, and Web servers.
• Comfortable with all Microsoft server roles
• Server Backup/DR support
• Cyber Security support and administration for locally installed tools
• Advanced knowledge in PowerShell for server task and automation
• Monitor server performance and storage usage
• Knowledge of Group Policy (enforces and applies)
• LAN/WAN Networking knowledge. Router/Firewall/Switch

c) Education and/or Experience

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field
• 5+ years’ experience in server support role.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

e) Mathematical Skills

• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

f) Physical Demands

• Travel = 20%
