Job description

This full-time position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to customers at the front counter, following standard operating procedures in order to login samples into the Laboratory Management Information System, micro analysis, and assists with general facility maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service by being available and responding to the needs of clients at the front counter, in a prompt and professional manner.
• Receive samples and ensure sample integrity by following SOP guidelines that prepares Samples for processing.
• Prepare and analyze samples as assigned in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Microbiology.
• Conduct work area surveillance inspections (electrical, plumbing and lighting), property damage and personal injury investigations.
• Track, document, and report incidents to EHS Manager.

Education & Experience

• Chemistry, Biology, or other related science Degree (BA or BS) preferred.
• Basic knowledge of sample acceptance, sample containers and handling.
• Basic knowledge of the Laboratory Information Management System (Element).
• Competency in Micro analysis and procedures.
